(yes, my last names is Green and I’m a Green Business coach. Destiny? Maybe. )
Q. How have your academic and work experiences led you to working with the GBB program?
At university we talked quite a bit about sustainability and green design…in the “real world”, the working world, I found the dialogue was absent. GBB broaches the issues that need to be tackled. I’m drawn to that.
Q. Why are you a Green Business Barbados Coach?
Having an Architectural and Design background it is clear to me that we’ve designed ourselves into the environmental issues we’re encountering. I want to play a role in redesigning the systems and implementing practices which will make for a greener future.
Q. What has been your most recent environmental revelation?
Participating in Clean up Barbados and seeing the volume of waste that accumulates on our coastlines
Q. Where might I know you from?
My weekly Sunday morning ritual of visiting the Farmer’s market.
Q. What is your favorite quote at the moment (you can add two if you can’t choose)?
“Get peaceful. Get Busy. Get Happy.” – Heru Ofori-Atta
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” – George Bernard Shaw
Q. For fun you…?
Do handstands, cartwheels and play Capoeira.
Q. What are you reading, watching listening to now?
The Talent Code: Greatness Isn’t Born. It’s Grown. Here’s How. – by Daniel Coyle
